Le 25 avril 2025, Steven Michel donnera un atelier dans le cadre de VOICE NOISE chez Festspielhaus St. Pölten.
In this research workshop about VOICE NOISE, Steven Michel will guide participants through a few principles of the creative process behind the performance VOICE NOISE by Jan Martens. Throughout the session, the focus will be on exploring the music of the performance, which curates remarkable, unheard, or overlooked women's voices from the past hundred years. The workshop will delve into the transformative potential of recorded voices as catalysts for movement. Participants will be encouraged to embody these voices in their own unique way, using them as an inspiration to uncover their core identity as dancers. The overarching question guiding the exploration is: how can the voice serve as an invitation to reveal our most essential dancing selves?

Du 17 au 28 février, Steven Michel est en résidence au ICI-CCN (ICI - centre chorégraphique national Montpellier - Occitanie) avec le projet Music Hole. Le 19 février, il y aura un atelier avec le performeur Erwan Ha Kyoon Larcher de 19h à 21h.

Lors d'une semaine de travail au Conservatoire Royal d'Anvers, les étudiants en danse de 2BA ont eu la chance de travailler avec Pierre Bastin, l'un des interprètes de la pièce de Jan Martens « any attempt will end in crushed bodies and shattered bones ». Une semaine de pratique et d'attention partagées.
