a celebration of stamina, resistance, brilliance, and rebellion

In his first creation for NDT 1, Jan Martens works with a large ensemble of dancers, set to the fierce, punk-like compositions Pretty by Julia Wolfe and GG Concerto by Hanna Kulenty. Their contrasting yet complementary energy magnifies the physicality on stage, making this new piece a powerful celebration of resilience, resistance, brilliance, and defiance.
